Information economy

The galaxy map shows what you know — not ground truth. Intel ages, ownership changes, and counter-espionage degrade reliability. In Galvyris, knowledge itself is tradable.

Intel reliability formula: 100 minus 1.5% per day since last scan, minimum 15%. Penalties apply when owners change (−25) or destruction flags shift (−10). Premium currency grants no advantage on detection or intel quality.

When blockades seal official trade, stealth freighters run contraband — if they beat the detection roll based on blockader sensors vs smuggler signature. Repeated failures can break non-aggression pacts.

Sell intelligence
List planet intel snapshots at scan level ≥2 on the intel board. Buyers receive a copy — sellers keep the original. Stale fields are flagged when snapshots diverge from live world state.
Sell coordinates
Discover wormholes or anomalies? Sell coordinates anonymously — seller identity hidden until purchase. Temporary and persistent wormholes reshape trade routes and conflict zones.
Mercenary contracts
Escrowed missions: escort cargo, escort colony ships, destroy pirate bases, scout sectors, deliver resources. Mercenary charter token reduces escrow fee by 5% or adds +1 open contract slot.
Bounties
Place bounties on prolific raiders using a 90-day raid leaderboard. Payout triggers on successful counter-raid — incentivizing defenders to hunt repeat attackers.
Smuggling & blockades
Blockade missions stop official transport to non-allies without trade pacts. Stealth freighters require target intel. Detection = blockader sensors + counter-espionage vs smuggler signature.
Alliance stealth intel
Alliance depot stealth tiers: L0 appears empty; L1 occupied/unknown; L2+ shows tag and depot role; L3 reveals buildings and garrison strength.
Star chart reliability
Never trust a snapshot older than a few days without rescanning. Counter-espionage on high-security worlds degrades infiltrator intel quality over time.
